An annual event since 1998, the show takes place from 10.00am to 4.00pm in the walled Elizabethan pleasure gardens.

With the first recorded rally taking place in 1902, and held by the Manchester automobile club, Gawsworth has long been linked with the motor vehicle, and in the 1940s and 1950s was home to Denis Ferranti’s wonderful collection, including a T59 Bugatti that now takes pride of place in Ralph Lauren’s garage.

Entry is open to cars and motorcycles of a model type manufactured before 1980, and to later vehicles at the discretion of Rupert Richards, the organiser.

The show includes an informal concours and autojumble, with recent highlights including wonderful eight-litre vintage Bentleys and dozens of period scooters.

All are welcome to come and go as they wish, ensuring a relaxing day for both owners and visitors.
