5.00pm performance

The internationally-acclaimed Locrian Ensemble return to the Hall once more with the always fabulous Dinky Diva – soprano Annette Wardell (who’s previously wowed audiences everywhere from the Glyndebourne Festival to the FA Cup Final).

Together they promise a glorious afternoon mixing the usual much-loved Proms recipe of Land of Hope and Glory, Nimrod, Hornpipe (Fantasia on British Sea Songs) and Rule Britannia, with sun-dappled favourites like Gershwin’s Summertime.

Expect, heroism, valour and lashings of the Locrian’s trademark good humour as this charismatic collection of performers (who’ve previously topped the classical music charts with their music to BBC1’s Wolf Hall) take you on a magical musical journey, before the usual formidable Last Night finale!

Performances take place on a large festival stage in front of the Hall. The seating area is uncovered.

Please bring your own garden chair. Gazebos, fishing brollies, parasols etc are allowed, but not in the main seating area.

No children under six years old may attend performances.

(Price includes £1.50 booking fee)
