Amanda Owen – The Yorkshire Shepherdess

If you’ve watched the hit Channel 5 series Our Yorkshire Farm, or read one of her bestselling books, you’ll know how funny, frank and quite frankly remarkable Amanda is. And the story of how she left Huddersfield and urban life behind to thrive at remote Ravenseat, tending her flock of 1000 sheep and family of nine children with husband Clive.

Inspired to head for the countryside by the James Herriot books, hers is now a life of dipping and clipping, feeding and breeding; and as you’d expect she has plenty of heart-warming tales, amusing anecdotes, and thought-provoking insights into what it takes to thrive as a farmer and shepherdess in one of England’s most remote, yet beautiful spots.

Please bring your own garden chair. Gazebos, fishing brollies, parasols etc are allowed, but not in the main seating area.
